We are complete! All our newly qualified students
joined their classes last week, so we are now all here.
SAGE third graders are finishing up their
chromatography unit this week. They have been busy separating colors,
determining which medium and solvent would do the trick. Next they will be
doing observing, analyzing and comparing in our fingerprint unit. These will
prepare them to solve the mystery of Mr. Bear.
Fourth graders have been solving Shongo Networks and
discovered Euler's findings to determine if a network can be traveled. They
also figured out the formula for faces, vertices and edges on a three
dimensional figure. They have done some amazing thinking! Next they'll be
inventors.
In fifth grade, the students have been building
bridges. They have learned a lot about the different types of bridges and
the forces that act upon them. Next they are using coordinate math to create
curved designs using straight lines.
