2008 Challenger Science Fair

This year’s Science Fair theme is “It’s No Secret – Challenger is Crazy About Science!” and we invite all of Challenger to enter the Science Fair.  The Science Fair will be held on Friday, March 28th, 2008.

The Science Fair is a non-competitive fair.  All participants will receive an award for an area in which their project excels.  Science Fair projects are At Home activities for this event.  This is a student-driven project where parents are encouraged to participate in an advisory role.  We want all Challenger students to experience fun with Science!

All entries for the 2008 Science Fair should be experiments.  An Experiment is used to answer a testable question.  If you wonder about why something works the way it does, how something will behave under certain conditions, or what will happen when you do something, you can run an experiment to answer your question.  An experiment should always be conducted following the Scientific Method.  To enter an experiment into the Science Fair, a display should be created that details your use of the Scientific Method.  Please see the Experiment Guidelines for details.

All entries for the 2008 Science Fair must meet the General Rules.  Please see the Rules section for details.

New in 2006 – Written reports are NOT required for all 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade entries.  Individual teachers can require reports for their classes, but these are class-specific requirements.   A display is still required for all grade-level entries.

The Science Fair is a fun, rewarding experience for all who participate.  So fill out an entry form and join us for some fun with Science!
